Tilth Alliance is a nonprofit organic gardening, farming and urban ecology organization with classes, children's programs and community educational opportunities.
THE PROBLEM
In 2015, the Seattle Tilth, Tilth Producers and Cascade Harvest Coalition merged to create the Tilth Alliance. Presently this alliance does not have a comprehensive website that represents this transition. 
PROPOSED SOLUTION
 The prototype below allows all tilth members, such as farmers, gardeners, cooks and environmental advocates, to immediately find information specific to their interests. The six icons offer relevant and easily identifiable affordances to the broad variety of users who access this site.

The Tilth Alliance’s mission is to build and ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable food system.

The site's main thrusts:
  • Providing Washington's farming community with peer-to-peer education
  • Educating people how to grow food and develop a stronger connection to the land.
  • Create a platform that allows people to learn how to cook and understand nutrition
  • Support community's efforts to build a healthy environment​
